Made in the Kurdish mountains. Born in Salzburg. Raised in Switzerland.

Yoldaş Gündoğdu is a writer and director based in Zürich. He co-created the podcast Kurds & Bündig, named Podcast of the Year 2024 at the Suisse Podcast Awards, and the television series Kurds im Ohr. He studies film at the Zurich University of the Arts and is currently writing and developing his first television series.

He works in comedy, mostly serialised. His work explores questions of identity, belonging and the diaspora experience, and it is lowbrow on purpose: accessible, popular, made for people whose names Word underlines in red.
